Sunday Photos – NYC – Old and New Icons

At least since the building of the Empire State Building, New York has been a city known for its soaring skyline and its lofty architecture. That was enhanced by the Twin Towers of The World Trade Center up until that fateful day in September of 2001. The void left behind by their wanton destruction is now being filled by the grand presence of the nearly finished Freedom Tower located in the area of the former towers. It’s presence is helping to restore the pride and the spirits of New Yorkers everywhere. Along with the old icon that is the Empire State Building, NYC is now home to a new icon in the Freedom Tower.
