Sunday Photos – Maitake Mushrooms


Maitake mushrooms aka Hen of the Woods are beautiful and tasty fungi. I particularly enjoy them roasted, a dish that I first experienced at Hearth, where Marco Canora took the dish that he cooked at Craft.


I roasted these on the big green egg, accented only with a bit of olive oil, salt and a squeeze of fresh lemon. Yum!
