Sunday Photo – Chinatown (NY) Fish Market

Before I had traveled anywhere outside of the United States, I became fascinated by food markets just walking along Canal Street and side streets like Mulberry, Mott and others in New York City’s Chinatown. They had then and still have the allure of the exotic and the foreign – something outside of the typical for New York City, where the unusual is typical. I still enjoy walking through the streets of Chinatown with its street-side stalls of live, fresh and dried fish and colorful fruit and vegetables seen no where else in Manhattan.
