Sunday Photo – Sea Scallops

I bought these and a few more live, in-shell sea scallops from Pura Vida Fisheries out of Suffolk County, Long Island at the Saratoga Springs Farmers Market. Not often having whole scallops available in the US on a retail basis, I had never shucked scallops before, but it was quite easy and the results quite tasty. We ate them raw with a little ponzu for seasoning. Delicious!
