Taste of the Week – December 27th – January 2nd, 2010


Smooth, fruit-rich with plenty of soft tannins, this wonderful wine from Jaboulet was a great wine to welcome in the new year, served with roasted bone-in pork loin, roasted potatoes and brussels sprouts with pesto following a split pea soup. Having been sick towards the end of the year and on-call on NYE, I was particularly looking forward to a nice bottle of wine on New Year's Day. This did quite nicely.
