Chanterelles and Cherries

I just received an order of fresh Michigan wild chanterelles, black garlic and Michigan Balaton cherries from Earthly Delights. I'm looking forward to using them.



The Balaton cherry, of Hungarian origen is supposedly "larger, plumper, firmer and significantly  more flavorful than other tart cherries traditionally used in cherry pies." We'll see.
