At the Market – June 17, 2009

I found the first local sour cherries of the season at the Saratoga Farmers Market, grown, harvested and sold by Saratoga Apple. Buying three pints, I plan to cook some of them to make  a sauce to serve over pan-seared duck breast tomorrow night. The rest I may use for  clafoutis or hand over to the family baker, my wife, for a nice cherry pie.
