I ate a lot of great food in January. It was tough to narrow it down, but here is the best of the best. In no particular order.

  • Tortilla Española at Sylkar in Madrid
  • Champagne Truffle from Bernachon
  • Oysters with Mignonette at Les Halles de Lyon
  • Various savory and dessert chocolate items at the Valrhona booth in Lyon
  • Gambas from Palamós with sesame at Senzone
  • Galician chorizo for cooking
  • Jamón Iberico de Bellota from Pedroches
  • Lechazo at Madrid Fusión lunch
  • Veal cheek stuffed trotters at Principe de Viana
  • Morcilla at Los Asturianos
  • Morcillo at Casa Lucio
  • Patatas Bravas at Las Bravas
  • Red Mullet with crusty potato scales at Paul Bocuse
  • Cepe flavored savory macaron at Les Halles de Lyon
